RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS
Model 240 utilizes the cooling, soaking, and penetrating effect of a 45-55 foot stream of WATER. The 55-second discharge time makes it very effective for inexperienced operators for use on Class A fires.
HIGH FLOW portable fire extinguishers for applications where discharge rates exceeding one pound per second are required as specified in NFPA 10. These extinguishers utilize the same hardware and are manufactured to the same UL specifications as Amerex compliance-rated products.
PURPLE K extinguishers contain specially fluidized and siliconized potassium bicarbonate dry chemical which is particularly effective on Class B flammable liquids and pressurized gases. It is electrically non-conductive. Purple K has been the choice of oil, gas, chemical and utilities industries as the preferred fire-fighting agent.
HALON 1211 is a liquefied gas, pressurized with nitrogen, which discharges as a vapor causing no cold or static shock and no impairment of the operator’s vision. This “CLEAN” agent quickly penetrates difficult-to-see and hard-to-reach areas and leaves no residue. It is recommended for protection of delicate, sensitive, and expensive computers, electrical equipment, tapes and film, automotive and aircraft engines, laboratory chemicals and equipment.
