CMC Fire Escape Harness
Ask a Question
Designed to be worn during fire ground operations, the Fire Escape Harness uses Kevlar brand fiber web for high heat and flame resistance and can be worn over bunker pants without compromising firefighter safety. If done with care, the harness can be left on over the pants when they are stored, so it can be donned simultaneously. The new, improved design is one size fits most. The soft connection loop in front stays out of the way when not in use and easily accepts carabiners or large snap hooks.
CMC recommends using the turnout manufacturer’s approved belt loop and keepers to ensure the harness remains in place when the gear is stored.

- Can be left on turnout pants and donned simultaneously
- Front attachment loop stays out of way when not in use

- Web Keepers secure loose web ends

The Most Advanced NFPA General-Use Rescue Carabiner on the Market. Rescuers working in the most demanding circumstances will appreciate CMC’s ProSeries Aluminum Carabiners, the first aluminum carabiners to meet NFPA strength requirements for General Use. The most sought-after edge protection available features super slick, high-performance material that not only protects your rope from sharp or rough edges, but also greatly reduces friction. The Ultra-Pro is lighter and easier to transport than edge rollers or similar devices and its lower profile avoids tipping often encountered with taller devices. It conforms to the edge, and prevents sharp bends in the rope. Protectors are available in two sizes: the Ultra-Pro 2 is for two ropes, and the Ultra-Pro 4 accepts four ropes. Carabiner holes in all four corners allow the Ultra-Pro to be tied off for safety or linked together for extended protection.

The MPD allows you to go from lowering to raising without changing hardware. More than nine years of research and development went into the patented Multi-Purpose Device (MPD), which features major innovations in advanced technical hardware for rope rescue professionals. The MPD’s high-efficiency pulley, with an integral rope-grab mechanism, allows it to be used as a lowering device on the main line and belay line systems and be quickly changed over to a raising system without switching out or replacing hardware.
