The 930 Station Monitor can put a lot of water on target. This 3-inch cannon generates a significantly powerful jet stream due to its half-inch reduction in the upper waterway right before the nozzle inlet. This design “compresses” the water, which increases its velocity. Power and increased jet shape and performance in a small package. This unit looks awesome in hand-polished stainless steel, by the way!
TECHNOLOGY
The 930 Station Monitor uses American milled, hand-welded, seamless, 3.0-inch diameter Schedule 40 piping and consists of three sections: the intake base, lower ell, and the upper ell. The intake base is available in many configurations and provides the foundation for the first swivel, the horizontal axis swivel. This swivel rotates a full 360-degrees and is very well balanced. The lower ell makes a 90° turn into the upper ell, which incorporates the vertical swivel and the Bladelock swivel brake mechanism. The vertical swivel has a +/- range of 70°/20° and is designed to spin clean while under pressure even with the weight of a heavy brass nozzle. With the 930’s balance, strong swivel brake and powerful jet, it’s no wonder why this is the monitor of choice for discerning fire chiefs who value craftsmanship and performance.
